At Easter we work with the 'Forces of Restoration', as they are particularly active fit the time of the Easter Festival. This is the 'Festival of The Risen Christ', the head of Hierarchy, the teacher of all, and the expression of the Love of God. On this day the Hierarchy, which he guides and directs is recognized and the nature of God's Love is emphasised. It is the great Western and Christian Festival.
These forces, 'The Forces of Restoration' emanate from the mind of God and are connected with the intelligence principle within the divine nature. It is peculiarly creative in nature, carrying the "life which produces the birth of forms" and makes men think, plan and take action.
The Hierarchy is not occupied with restoring the old order which has governed our past. The Restoration referred to is psychological in nature, working out as the restoration of the will‑to‑live and the will‑to‑good. Consequently it is foundational, guaranteeing the new civilisation and culture. These forces are concerned with human vision, human integrity and human relations as they underlie the entire problem of the brotherhood of man.
These energies if released on Earth, will render futile the efforts of the old order to restore what was. These new and living Restorative forces are under the direction and the control of One Whom might be called the "Spirit of Resurrection". It is this living Spiritual entity, working temporarily under the direction of The Christ, who will restore livingness to humanity’s spiritual aims, and life to its planning. This entity it is who will engender anew the vitality needed to implement the trends of the New Age, and guide humanity out of the dark cave of death, isolation and selfishness into the light of the new day. It is this Resurrection life, which is available and poured into humanity at Easter.
On a Planetary scale, and not just in reference to mankind, this “Spirit of Resurrection” is the opponent and the antagonist of the Spirit of Death. Humanity has been ruled for aeons by selfishness, and selfishness is the potent seed of death:- material death, psychological death and mental death. But the work, of the Angel of death will give place to that of the "Spirit of Resurrection”.
We are told that the planning of this restoration and this resurrection activity is now under the consideration of the Hierarchy, handed over to them as they are closer to mankind than Those Who Function in the Council Chamber at Shamballa. We are reminded that the "Spirit of Resurrection” ‑ is a member of that Council and is their Chosen Emissary, This entity is in truth...
"The Sun of Righteous ness" Who can now arise " With Healing in His Wings";
Who can carry this life‑giving energy which counteracts death, this vision which gives incentive to life, and this hope which can restore all nations. At this Full Moon of Aries (Easter) let the demand go out for the appearance of this life‑giving Spirit. Let it go forth with such intensity that the Hierarchy will be called into active response and will immediately release the potency of this Spirit into the hearts of humanity.
This triple work of the three major festivals proceeds simultaneously from the standpoint of time. All of these spiritual forces, working as they are under the direction of the Leader of the Forces of Light, The Christ are closely related and their activity is most closely synchronised. In a deeply occult sense, they are all working together, because in the human family there are those who are at every stage of response.
The Forces of restoration are also, on a small scale, evoking response from the members of the New Group of World Servers, and from disciples everywhere. As their psychological "morale" stiffens and their will‑to‑good is strengthened, an immediate effect will be felt on a larger scale; the work of the "Spirit of Resurrection" will intensify, and it is already making its presence felt to a marked degree.
More and more people are beginning to be forward‑looking and to hope with greater conviction and courage for a better world set‑up. Wishful thinking and emotional desire is slowly giving way to a more practical attitude. Clear thinking and fixed determination are far more active making for better laid plans because thinking and planning today is based on facts. We are recognising those factors and conditions which must not be restored, and this is a point of major import.
The ensuing attitude of responsibility that arises within the world servers and disciples and its consequent activity may initially lead to mistakes, but in the aggregate of the endeavour it will meet the demand and need for the right action. Such is our opportunity and activity as we enter the new spiritual year, and as we come together to serve at these three major festivals
What Humanity and we as part of humanity have to do now, and are already doing to some degree, is to arrive at a right orientation regarding human affairs.
These words are taken from the Externalisation of the Hierarchy written by A.A.B. under the inspiration of the Tibetan and written during the war years. Today over fifty years on we can see the new age taking shape. We see the New Group of World Servers has swelled its ranks and they reach into every area of human living.
We also are aware of new distortions relating to the new emerging principles and as the principle of discrimination is called forth the world of glamour and distortion will be clarified by clear thinking arrived at within the Light of The Soul. This it is which will unveil the unreal from the real, taking us from darkness to light and from death to immortality.
We have looked at how these three major festivals proceed simultaneously and so in the next Festival we will see how the "Forces of Enlightenment" reveal to us what it is that the "Forces of Restoration" restore and bring in the New Age. Death is brought only to the old outmoded forms and never brings death to consciousness itself.
